Large numbers of Medicaid beneficiaries whose prescriptions were terminated in July did not receive the due process required under the Hernandez v. Medows settlement agreement.
In response to recent enforcement action, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) agreed to send class members this notice on or before December 15, 2005 along with the updated pamphlet.
Pharmacists will also be sent a remedial notice. Agency records indicated that there were 270,000 denials in July.
If your prescriptions were terminated in July and you still have a problem, please call the FLS Medicaid Helpline at 1-800-436-6001.
